Driveways Old and New

Driveways over the years

Here are a few of the driveways that we have installed over the years.

Things haven’t really changed that much since Roman Britain, apart from these salient points.

Instead of the footfall of a multitude of feet hitting the deck as one
, we now have the incredible torque of ginormous rubber tyres on huge wheels powered by hydraulic power used to make lite work of steering, the stress is transferred from driver to the drive surfaces, and consequently leaving its mark on the driveway landscape.
So a different approach is needed,
+ combined with climate change and the need to conserve water, the winds of change are emerging, and moulding the new way of doing things.

We at derna landscapes are pioneering a new method we feel is fail safe.

Not withstanding our skills and versatility can be seen in the examples below,
but thats not all! Our driveways stand the test of time and you are welcome to visit old and new to satisfy your own minds as to our integrity.

  • ThePiggery at Maryfield Coachhouse
  • Granite Setts and clay pavers form the Driveway, with delabole Flagstones at the entrance to the Piggery
  • Indian Sandstone Paving is the only new products used in this area, with granite setts laid sideways form a ramp up to the next level

You can rest assured, that what we say we will do;

We Will Do. It is why we have survived the test of time, and 2 severe recessions.

There are always those who value our values, and when they move they come back to us, it is truly delightful that our existing customer base always come back, even those who one thinks will never move.

We don’t need to subscribe to the Marshall’s Register, our standard of workmanship is second to none.

All good workmanship is down to the correct site preparation,

if we find a soft spot under a Drive, Patio or Path sub base it comes out and is filled with hardcore, it takes more time and costs more, but the end result is guaranteed hassle free for the customer and us the contractor.

It takes time to get a good reputation, and we ain’t going to risk it for a bit of extra work.

Good workmanship

is also down to taking pride in what you do, and doing the best you can, to achieve a professional result.

“What ever work you do do it with all your might”

is one of our mottos,
another is “No Problems, just Solutions”.
