Here are a few examples of our work over the years

These Have all Started out as Visions, Dreams and Ideas
It is Our Goal in Life is to Create Environments

That can ease the stresses of this whirlwind which is life, letting the therapeutic benefits that a relaxing setting, can bring. A garden also needs to be practical, sensibly planned, thereby making the maintenance of a garden less time consuming, enabling the few moments of respite from every day life enjoyable and something to look forward too. We Spend Loads On Holidays, As Well Earned Breaks For A Few Days Or Weeks, but most of our time is spent at home and work, so it makes sense to make your every day environment precious and enjoyable. Give us a call we can make it happen for you.

These Two Pictures were taken in the latter part of 2019.

We were called back to carry out additional work to a right of way that was causing damage through silt run off onto my clients property. And to lay a new patio to replace and extend the, one laid by Peter when they moved in a few years prior to our completing the above project.

This was a Fascinating project, the majority of which is now hidden by shrubs. for instance the main retaining wall we built is to the left of these pictures, incorporating a set of semi spiral steps to this lower plateau, with the right of way approx three - four metres above and away from the retaining wall.

The two pictures are of the Retreat

designed by Graham an idea conceived on the spot, to blend with the steeply sloping ground. It consists of an area divided into rooms on three different levels, and is based upon the idea of a Folly, made to look like the ruins of a grand setting many hundreds of years old. Ruth and Peter nicknamed it Alhambra. Now it offers an air of mysticism, a Secret and enchanting Retreat. This work was completed in 1988 and through it we were recommended to John Bower, where we spent the best part of 1989 restoring the grounds and collapsed walls of East Worthel farm, that had as a working farm lost it's charm. again we were called back recently to relay cobbles to a section of the lower drive, that had been left untouched, back in 1989.

Is the one Referenced

In the "Quoteā€¯ listed below this text. The wall was built using lime mortar, and up-cycled stone that we found buried in the back garden when we landscaped it a year or so before.
We never throw stone away as it always comes in very handy, especially stone indigenous to the area.

The slideshow above

Shows a property in Vapron Road Plymouth, for Margaret B. The work was carried out around 2006 This was an interesting job where French Oak Sleepers were used for the raised beds, with granite setts from Cornwall used to provide a mowing strip.
The front apron and driveway was finished with Granite Setts from the Local Granite King, Dennis Perry.

The work carried out by the team at Derna was completely to our satisfaction and I was amazed at the work rate and professionalism applied to the project.

The above example Of a Complete Garden Restructure

Is what we do, here the bare bones are in need of structured planting, which is another aspect of our work, but here the client wants to put their own personal touch, utilising some of the existing shrubs.
