The wall was built using lime mortar, and up-cycled stone that we found buried in the back garden when we landscaped it a year or so before.
We never throw stone away as it always comes in very handy, especially stone indigenous to the area.
After submitting a scaled 3D picture of before and after,It took over a year for South Hams to agree to it, requesting scaled drawings of how the steps for access to the front door would work.
A wall is a wall is it not! And steps are steps!?

Are for a property in Vapron Road Plymouth, for Margaret B. The work was carried out around 2006 This was an interesting job where French Oak Sleepers were used for the raised beds, with granite setts from Cornwall were used to provide a mowing strip.
The front apron and driveway was finished with Granite Setts from the Local Granite King, Dennis Perry, Locally sourced they originated from Cornwall and have a much warmer finish than the Granite from China, which seems be a silver grey colour, whereas the Portuguese granite is a pleasing blue grey colour
The work carried out by the team at Derna was completely to our satisfaction and I was amazed at the work rate and professionalism applied to the project.
